Lucia Berte has many years’ experience as a laboratory and quality manager, laboratory and blood bank assessor, trainer, presenter, and consultant. She has clients and speaking engagements in several countries and volunteers on several AABB, ASCP, CLSI and CLMA national committees and the international ISO committee that develops laboratory quality management guidelines and standards.

Lucia is the recipient of the AABB Joel Solomon Memorial Award for contributions to quality management and the AACC 2007 award for contributions to patient safety. She writes the monthly “Quality Qorner” column for ASCP’s LabMedicine journal.
