OnDemand
Price: $199.00
Laboratory outreach is a critical activity within many organizations; however many outreach programs are not able to demonstrate their overall value or worth. Vital to the continued success and growth of your program is having relevant and meaningful indicators to track outreach growth, operations and finance. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are effective tools to communicate the laboratory outreach program’s success, efficiency and financial performance, both to department staff and hospital leadership, while simultaneously motivating staff behaviors toward adding value for the patient, physician or customer. This session will focus on Key Performance Indicators that are relevant to both the internal and external aspects of a laboratory outreach program. Attendees will learn how to design and monitor internal and external KPIs that demonstrate the outreach program’s effectiveness, and develop strategies to communicate this information to stakeholders within the organization and to outreach customers. The presenters will help you establish KPIs that are important to your own hospital outreach program, providing tools for internal benchmarking. Additionally, the presenters will share real-world examples of KPIs from several hospital laboratory outreach programs around the country.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the importance of laboratory outreach program KPIs
